SOLVING THE SWEETEST DAY GIFT DILEMMA

Better than a traditional greeting card or box of candy. Two Cleveland entrepreneurs create a fun, unique & low-cost alternative to Sweetest Day gift giving.

Cleveland, OH – August 2006 – Sweetest Day observance originated in Cleveland in 1922. Herbert Birch Kingston, a philanthropist and candy company employee wanted to bring happiness into the lives of orphans, shut-ins and others who were forgotten. Today, Sweetest Day has evolved into a time to express romantic love and also to show appreciation to friends, mostly celebrated in cities around the Great Lakes.

As coincidence may have it, over 80-years later, two modern day Cleveland-born entrepreneurs have worked to create a unique Sweetest Day gift giving idea that would make Mr. Kingston proud.

Jim Kukral and Dave Potokar, founders of the Awesome Million (www.awesomemillion.com) exclusive online club, have created the perfect gift alternative for Sweetest Day practitioners who want more to give than a traditional greeting card. For the low cost of $1.00, Sweetest Day followers can purchase a special online Sweetest Day certificate that certifies their sweetie as “really awesome”. Example here: http://angelinajolie.isreallyawesome.com. (Substitute your sweeties name in place of AngelinaJolie).

“It’s better than an ecard, or even a regular card,” said Jim Kukral, one of the club’s co-founders. “Our special Sweetest Day online certificate is the perfect personalized alternative gift choice for anyone who celebrates this unique holiday. If you’ve got 1-minute and $1.00, you can avoid a trip to the Hallmark store by making your sweetie really awesome through our online system.”

This one-of-a-kind online certificate also comes with a custom domain name for your sweetie. For example, http://angelinajolie.isreallyawesome.com. (Substitute your sweeties name in place of AngelinaJolie). Once purchased, gift givers can then upload a photo of their sweetie to add onto the certificate making it even more personal.

“It’s better than a card because it’s personalized,” said Dave Potokar, company co-founder. “Plus, if you waited until the last minute, you can make someone really awesome in our system in less than 1-minute. Just create your sweeties certificate page, upload a picture, then either email them the URL or print it out and present it to them in person.”
